It's that Woman again

MPs' expenses: Nadine Dorries cleared over second home - Telegraph

I'm sure I don't have to go into the details of the whole expenses case about my MP. It has been widely reported. Interestingly though, the document that seems to "Exonerate" her, actually does far from it. For starters, we have the sickening admission that 70% of her blog is fiction....yes...she admits it. She has since backtracked and said she meant 30%, but that is supposed to be seen as a good thing. So lets get this into context. She says that she is doing this because if she blogs the truth that one of her stalkers will find out her whereabouts. She also says that she doesn't want the electorate to feel let down. Surely on both counts there are some questions that need answering? Who are these stalkers? Well we know that one of them is Tim Ireland, and again, if you look at his blog , you can see quite how far wide of the mark she is in this assertion...but the more she says it, the more it seems to be accepted. So Mrs Dorries, it is time to either give evidence, or shut up. Secondly, she admits to lying so as not to give her constituents the idea that she doesn't care about them. We didn't need you to lie Mrs Dorries, the contempt that you show through this disgraceful admission is evidence enough.

She was found not guilty of a breach of thr rules with regard to second homes, but this is based largely on her word. She keeps no records of her attendance, no records of her stays in the constituency, but the report has taken her on her word. This is despite the fact that one of her neighbours stated that she was in the constituency for 80% of the time. His evidence appears to have been dismissed as it could bee unreliable! This is astonishing! The report cites Dorries blog as part of the evidence, but also publishes her quote about the 70% fiction! Are they sure that "Neighbour No.1" is the unreliable one here?

Even if we accept that what she has said is true, we have an MP who by her own admission lied to her constituents to curry favour, does not treat her constituency as her home, and would appear to be in the Cotswolds for 80% of the time. How can she be a representative for us? We have an MP who expects to keep no accurate record for the purposes of some pretty substantial expense claims, but expects us to take her on her word. If she was in Industry, the financial department would throw the expense claim back in her face.

The report paints a picture of a woman with a regrettable tone, a devious, truculent approach to the collection of evidence, and someone who appears to have wilfully wasted the time of government in the pursuit of her evidence. She posted a picture on her blog some time ago, which showed the Parliamentary standards guide that had apparently blown out of the window of her office....I will assume that this forms part of the 70%, as the document is quite sizeable. I would not expect Dorries to have any interest in a document that encourages "Standards".

A large proportion of her time has been spent lashing out at those who dare to question her. She gives the impression of a woman who believes she has a right to power, rather than treating it as a privilege. She lashes out at her constituents, ignores the majority of them, and I can only assume that the 30% truth figure relates to the comments section of her blog that has long since closed down.

She has returned to Twitter, and of course gone through and blocked large numbers of her constituents. She refers to people who question her as "Nutters"....yes..."Nutters"....She has a position on the Health select committee for crying out loud, and is paid extra to be part of it! If she turns up to this committee, I truly hope she does not encourage use of phrases like "Nutter".

She has spent the last week hollering from the rooftops about the BBC, and it's disgraceful bias towards the Labour Party, and then goes on to appear on BBC Radio to use it as a medium to proclaim her "Innocence".

She was NOT exonerated yesterday, she was shown up to be a careerist serial manipulator, and a self proclaimed liar. This was not a throwaway comment on a blog. He admission came in a government document, that she had the time and chance to request amendments to, she did not ask for that to be changed, so she accepted this admission as the truth. The commission found her to be guilty of the "Non Serious" offence of failing to advise of an address change. It also found her to be extremely unhelpful. She came out of this report worse than if she had been found guilty of the Expense issue. There are some good things to come out of this. The BNP who raised the initial complaint did not succeed. I would hate for the BNP to succeed at anything. Mainly though, it has gained national attention. The media are beginning to pick up on this gaffe prone woman, who is the latest on a long line of female Prince Philip impersonators in the Conservative Party. I want her to be in the National Conscience. I want the rabid Blue rinse brigade to be disgusted at her, I want the very media that she has spent the last few years manipulating to turn it back on her, just so she can taste what she has encouraged in others.

Mrs Dorries, you are a disgrace, you are not fit for Public Office, and you are a cheap, nasty self proclaimed liar.

A Work of Art

OK...So I realise I am in danger of blogging exclusively about this woman, but this is truly a work of art;

In the light of the recent comments she has made about disability, it was only a matter of time before we got the, "look I am kind to anyone with a disability, some of my best friends are black" type post...and here it is.

Note how I am unable to empathise with the person in question, as I do not suffer from Dyslexia. What a ridiculous suggestion to make.

Note also, the typo in the first line of the P.S., just to add that little bit of authenticity.

Shameless, tragic and pathetic Mrs Dorries. Truly you are a work of art

Another Letter to Mrs Dorries

I have tried to contact my MP on a few occasions recently, and received no response or acknowledgement other than an automated email. I have today posted and emailed this letter to her, and I hope that I might receive a response this time

"Dear Mrs Dorries
Please forgive the long letter, but after many years of being your constituent, I have a number of issues I would like to raise with you.
Expenses.
Your thoughts and views on this subject were widely reported, and your blog made your views very clear, however, as one of your constituents, I would like you to clear up the following;
On your blog of 21st May 2009 http://blog.dorries.org/arc-2009_May.aspx You state the following;
“I’ve finished going through all my receipts and thought I had better make some things crystal clear:
I do NOT own a home in South Africa.
I do NOT own a home from which I receive a rental income.”
Yet the register of members interests published on 6th May 2009 states this as your entry;
“DORRIES, Nadine (Mid Bedfordshire)
8. Land and Property
House in Gloucestershire, from which rental income is received.
Holiday home in South Africa.”
I have written previously, and I am yet to receive a reply on this matter. I am concerned that this ambiguity might lead people to have the wrong idea about you.
Your Blog & Twitter
You have recently decided that Twitter is a waste of time, and you have criticsed those that use it heavily. This is fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, I am sure you will acknowledge that you used it to great effect during the election campaign to smear your opponents. I was wondering when it became a waste of time to use it? Was it at the exact moment you got elected?
I read your blog regularly to keep updated on all the work you do in your constituency. At times I commented on it, not always in a positive way, but always in a polite way. Now it seems that you have removed any form of comment on the blog, which really is a shame as it was good to share our opinions with you openly and honestly? What did you remove this facility? Was it because of one or two troublesome people, and would it not have been worth blocking them?
You also blocked me on Twitter for asking the question about your expenses above! It does begin to look like you want to spend time in office making pronouncements, not entering into debate, which I think is a shame.
You recent diatribe against one of your constituents I am afraid does you little credit. As a taxpayer, I have become increasingly concerned with the money that is being wasted by MPs. I know that you believe the campaign on expenses to have been cruel and unjustifiable, but we want openness and honesty, not hysterical mentions of suicide to try to stop people from looking. I realise that your salary is not the biggest in the world, but I would respectfully suggest that beecoming embroiled in a personal campaign about one of your constituents is NOT the best way to spend tax payers money, surely your time could be usefully employed elsewhere? There are also some worrying comments you make abou the hustings meeting in Flitwick that I will cover below. Whatever your views of Ms Cullen, I would again, respectfully suggest that if you spent the amount of time on every one of your constituents in a campaign of vindictive accusation and bile on more constructive things, you may well avoid the amount of negative publicity that you have been receiving. Your outbust has led to personal information being published about Ms Cullen on a well know political blog. I want my MP to be a voice of positivity, not a voice that belongs in the dark ages of politics. Your comments about the Labout candidate’s service record, and the Liberal Democrat’s “Handcuffs” were childish to say the least, and are exactly the kind of smear that you have been so vocal in crtiticising.
I sent you an email last week about you blog. I was disgusted to see that you had referred to a website as containing Porn and then provided a link to it on your website! This was so deeply irresponsible from a member of Parliament. My eleven year old daughter was looking at your blog. As I said on my email, I only wish that you had shown the same level of responsibility to children that I did in supervising her online time. In the spirit of sense and decency, I have asked her to check with me before visiting your website again. Yet you then spend time in the local paper criticising others for doing so! I would ove to hear your view on this, so that I may perhaps see this as something other than base hypocrisy. Why not acknowledge publically that you made a mistake rather than pointing the finger at other people? What other people spend their time writing is none of your, or my business. In your case, it IS my business, as my taxes are paying for you to do it. Perhaps you only edited your blog as the complaint I sent was copied into David Cameron’s office?
The Flitwick Hustings
I attended this meeting, and I cannot believe that you are still bringing it up, and still doing so inaccuratley. Ms Cullen did not, at any point “storm” anywhere, or “Pace up and down”. She did not raise her voice any louder than anyone else when you left the meeting early. Why do you persist in stating these things as fact? I met Ms Cullen for the first time that night, and have not met her since by the way, and I am not a Labour party supporter either. You are careful not to mention that you only told us that you had to leave at 8.45 after you had the spat with the man and the camera, and in fact left at 8.30, only to stand outside chatting and smoking for 15 minutes before you left. The reason people were shouting was that we wanted to hear your opinion and perspective. I was happily able to question the Labour and Liberal candidates that evening, but the only impression I got from you was that of a candidate that treated her constituents with disdain and contempt. You told the whole meeting that you were going to another really important meeting. It must have beeen extremely important to take precedent over the hustings of the general election, and a chance for people to hear your voice days before they vote. It must also have bene extremely brief, as you were on Twitter within an hour of leaving the Flitwick Hustings. This is exactly the kind of behaviour that creates the impression of an MP so safe and secure in her seat, that she does not really care about the thoughts of her constituents.
Mrs Dorries, I find your style of politics to be stuck in the dark ages. You won the election with an increased majority, but this does not give you carte blanche to behave in the way you have. From your ridiculous publicity stunts (High heels, Reality TV shows, ignorant pronouncements on abortion), through to your insulting and personal comments, for example referring to a colleague as Dr Death. You personal campaign against a constituent is quite frankly a disgrace, and I would seriously question this behaviour if it came from a ten year old, let alone a grown woman in her 50’s who is paid by the taxpayer. You have done everything you can to actively discourage open, honest and grown up debate, and if you are questioned on this, you seem to resort to personal attacks. Let’s have some honesty, decency and integrity from you rather than the half truths, insults and downright lies.
Yours sincerely
Keith Badham
p.s I am sending this via email as well as post in an effort to ensure I receive a response this time."

I shall of course update the blog with any response

Patrick Mercer - What a twit

I was browsing the wonders of my Twitter timeline, when I came across this beauteous bit of swearing, so proficient in its anger that I had to investigate further

"Who the living fuck balls is this wankstain Patrick Mercer cuntard?" This was a tweet from the ever entertaining and insightful @Gaijinsan21...Follow him, and your life will be further enriched...trust me.

Anyway....the object of his derision, the Rt Hon Patrick Mercer, Conservative MP for Newark...here is is.....

Anyway....now you have finished being all lecherous about him....

Read this, and then I dare you to do anything other than wholeheartedly agree with the aforementioned tweet.

I have instrantly thrown my iPhone away...I cannot possibly use this portable WMD anymore

Dorries Backs Down...........a bit

So you know the story so far....Our local MP...BLAH BLAH BLAH....Vile, detestable attitude to disability...BLAH BLAH BLAH....Gets lots of attention by getting friend Guido to blog about her...BLAH BLAH BLAH...Appealling to the lowest common denominator...BLAH BLAH BLAH

Well....it would appear that there has been some small degree of back tracking on her blog........

Before

After

http://blog.dorries.org/id-1674-2010_9_Guido_Expose.aspx

Could it be a change of heart? Could it be that she has seen the error of her ways and decided that her approach to this issue was childish and repulsive? OR....could it be that one of her scummy constituents decided to complain to her about linking to, and I quote "PORN", on her blog...a blog that will be seen by all the children in her constituency when they research local issues? But surely Mrs Dorries wouldn't care about that would she? She has a safe seat...untouched by the fear of loss, she can do as she pleases.....

Maybe the fact that the complaint also went to a certain Mr Cameron might give us a clue? I'm sure Guido, in his guise of PR officer for Mrs Dorries will publish the answer soon....

Would anyone like to read the email?

Here it is...

"Mrs Dorries

I am writing to express my disgust at your blog entry from yesterday. My daughter, who is 11 years old, was researching you as her MP, and I was disgusted to find that you provided a link to a site that is in your own words "Porn". I am appalled that my member of Parliament should deem it necessary to provide a link to such a site on what would appear to me to be a trivial and petty matter rather than doing the job that you are paid to do. If you genuinely believe this woman to be a fraudster, then just report her, and leave it at that. You have however encouraged what appears to be a witch hunt, and have run the risk of children looking at porn as a direct result of visiting your blog. Fortunately, I have a sense of care and duty to my daughter and I was able to prevent her from seeing anything untoward, it is a pity that you do not have that same sense of duty to your constituents. The last parliament proved that the public do not hold members of Parliament in very high regard, and you have once again proved that it would seem this lesson has not been taken on board. So much for the new politics!"

Now perhaps the author of the email cannot take full responsibility for the change, but it is a backing down, however small. The more we complain, campaign and ridicule this woman's extreme, ill advised. ill educated bile, the more it will come to the attention of the upper echelons of the Tory party.

George Osborne - What a Twit

BBC News - Child benefit to be scrapped for higher taxpayers

OK...so let's do some basic Maths shall we George?

Parent A earns £43,000 per year and therefore, under your new rules, will be able to claim Child Benefit
Parent A is married to Parent B, and Parent B earns...yes...you guessed it...£43,000 per year, meaning that, like Parent A, Parent B is entitled to claim Child Benefit.

So let's summarise shall we George? Parent A & Parent B have a combined income of £86,000, and, under these new rules of yours...you know the ones...the ones that are fairer...they are entitled to claim Child benefit.

On to Parents C & D then....

Parent C Earns £44,000, and is therefore unable to claim Child Benefit, Parent D is currently out of work (Let's say a Public Service worker shall we?). This family have a combined income of £44,000, nearly half that of the first family, but they are not able to claim Child benefit.

Apparently, this is a hugely complex problem, and as a result, would need a "Complex system of Means testing" to make it fairer. So what you are saying is, you want the system to be fair, but can neither afford or be bothered, to make it fair.

Truly astonishing!

Dorries Snides again

MP would 'rather die' than form electoral pact: ePolitix.com

Well far be it from me to discourage the woman from whatever course she deems necessary.

Yet again we see our MP in the course of her job, insulting and persecuting rather than doing anything constructive or worthwhile. Where is the discussion on policy? Where are the suggestions on how to improve anything? Where are the New Politics? Her Japanese prisoner of war comment is truly repugnant, and I have to say, nonsensical. It was not, after all, the prisoners of war who thought the war was still continuing, but the soldiers who were not in captivity. So we get deep insensitivity AND crass stupidity all in one sentence. Why is this woman allowed to continue by her party? She must surely be a liability?

All I Do is Eat and Sleep and Sing - How I let Nadine Dorries get me down

All I Do is Eat and Sleep and Sing - How I let Nadine Dorries get me down

Another, perhaps far more pertinent angle on Dorries outburst yesterday

Nadine Dorries

I should start this Blog Post off by making a couple of points clear.  I am self employed, I pay my taxes, and I do not support the Labour party.  The reason for my slightly strange opening statement may seem slightly odd, but hopefully will become clear.  My MP, Nadine Dorries, yesterday was responsible for another shall we say, eccentric, blog post.  In it, she is making a rather unsubtle accusation about one of her constituents.  I have had the pleasure of meeting the lady in question on one occasions .  The blog post, and subsequent coverage it received on Guido Fawkes blog, were nothing short of inflammatory.  Now, if I am getting the point right here, Dorries accuses her constituent of wasting public money that she receives from the benefit system by spending her time on Twitter.  I assume that it is therefore not OK to waste public money in MP's wages by writing frankly childish and abusive blog posts that attack her constituents.  If you read Guido's blog comments, you will see that the pub that the constituent drinks in, the night she drinks there, and a photograph have been published.  What a nice example to set.  I hope that Mrs Dorries is on the phone to her friend Guido this morning asking him to remove this information.  Mrs Dorries has a particular dislike for any behaviour that could be constituted as stalking as reported here by Political Blogger Tim Ireland.

The disdain with which Dorries treats her constituents would appear on the surface to be despicable.  I have written to her on a number of occasions, and to date have received one reply.  I hope that my polite and articulate letters have not been treated as a "Bombardment" or from a "Stalker" or a "Nutter".  The "Nutter" line in particular is disgraceful.  If you don't agree with someone's views, or methods, by all means criticise, but to use a phrase like that shows a want of decorum, taste, intelligence or decency.  Have a little class please.

If we revisit her blog, we will see how little of her time is spent on real constituency matters.  The only one seems to be the Incinerator site....what else are you involved with locally Mrs Dorries?  We never see you locally, we only see you on TV, not talking about local issues.  You are in a safe seat, so I can only assume that you don't really care.

You arrogant, petty, destructive, childish and hypocritical outbursts serve no purpose other than to underline why you are held in such low regard by so many, including the leader of your party, who it would seem would rather go back on a promise of a third of his cabinet ministers being female than to employ you in any position of authority.
